The Goddamn Geothermal

Since moving into our first home over six years ago and delighting in the fact that a creek runs along the back edge of our property, my husband has been adamant that he wanted to design and build a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Within a year and a half of moving in, the project was underway. Five years after that, and the project is still unfinished. *insert indulgent wife sigh here*

Don't get me wrong, progress has been made along the way.

Material purchased!!!

Creekside plumbing in a jumbled mess...

The pipes installed in the creek!!!

Creekside plumbing: Now with more organization...

Creekside electrial install....FINALLY!

And most recently, the unit inside got piped in, plumbed up, and wired...
Still, there is so much more to go before the system is fully operational. 5+ years into this project and it is increasingly apparent that this may be *gasp* the husbands-never-ending-project-extravaganza.

I love my husband but finishing projects is clearly not his forte.

Bless his heart.
